“Making disciples” is the foundational reason the church exists. Many parishes work from a “child-centered” model of faith formation, with the rites of initiation being the goal. This means there is rarely enough focus or resources available for the formation of adult disciples.  Blessed Sacrament is different:  we are located in Hollywood, where the demographic tilts heavily towards single young adults, so our programming must as well.  Yes, we prepare children for sacraments of initiation, but devising formation programming for the unchurched and the de-churched is the primary focus of the ministry.

As a member of the Pastoral Team, the Coordinator of Faith Formation plans, develops, organizes, and evaluates the Faith Formation Program for the Parish. The programming focus will be on the formation and equipping of disciples.
