The Program
At Blessed Sacrament Hollywood, our Confirmation program consists of 2 classes per month on Sundays at 11:30am for teens in high school. The registration fee is $130 for the year, which includes retreats, materials (shirt and bible) and all expenses covered for Youth Day.
Why Confirmation?
Though, some regard it as a graduation from the church, it is quite the opposite. In the sacrament of Confirmation the baptismal promises are fulfilled and the teen who receives the sacrament becomes a fully initiated member of the church ready to begin seeking their vocational calling. It is here where a teen begins to live out their faith on their own, and what a better place to do so than in Blessed Sacrament, a church we proudly proclaim to be “a church for everyone”.
Why Blessed Sacrament?
At Blessed Sacrament we believe in quality over quantity. We understand that modern teens have a busy schedule with school and extracurricular activities. That is why we have made our calendar flexible, through 2 classes a month and only a handful of extra activities throughout the year. Additionally, our catechists, all come from our young adult group and have been active in this ministry for over 3 years; our catechists are often searching for innovative ways to reach your teens while still being able to properly proclaim the Good News.
