School Administration

Blessed Sacrament Catholic School is a fully accredited member of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

The Department of Catholic Schools oversees the efficient administration of its member schools. The Department of Catholic Schools is located at 3424 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90010-2241. The telephone number is (323) 637-7300.

Pastor

The Pastor is the Chief Administrative Officer of the School. The Pastor delegates the day-to-day administration of the School to the Principal. Our Pastor is Rev. Michael J. Mandala, S.J. (323) 462-6311.

Principal

According to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Department of Catholic Schools Administrative Handbook No. 3206, Paragraph 1, the Principal, as delegate of the Pastor, is immediately responsible for implementing the philosophy of the school and administering its programs. This also includes the supervision of the entire school program and staff and relations with the parents, the parish and the public (Admin. Handbook No. 3204). In the words of our former Pastor, Fr. Anastacio Rivera's Memorandum of Blessed Sacrament School Personnel dated March 16, 1998:

"...Mrs. Haylock (and no other person) is responsible to oversee the performance of all paid and/or volunteer assistants in the School ... all matters dealing with the pupils and with school personnel are to be handled by her as our duly delegated and authorized Principal."
